Rotarians from Otumoetai and Rotary Youth Exchange student from Brazil Eduardo participated in a spring Working Bee in the Kopurererua Valley, a fantastic inner-city development project and proud association through the Rotary Centennial Trust.
Considered to be one of the largest wetland restorations projects in Australasia. The Kopurererua Valley is a 364-hectare inner-city park development project that the Tauranga City Council, in partnership with Ngai Tamarawaho and the Rotary Centennial Trust, has transformed this valley from an overgrown weedy environment into an outstanding natural public setting in one of the most dramatic inner-city park turnarounds in New Zealand.
